About Me

Let me introduce myself. My name is Eric Zimmett, the man behind the blog. I graduated from Penn State University with a  degree in journalism and have since given guest lectures at Penn State on the topics of digital media, Internet TV and ad sales. I work at StateCollege.com.

I’m always uncovering new things about media and how all this stuff works. I have a vested interest in life without cable TV, as since April of 2010, I’ve been without a pay-TV subscription. No Dish, DirecTV, Comcast, nothing. My TV viewing is of the new age of Internet TV with Netflix and Hulu Plus subscriptions.

Through this blog, I’ll attempt to dissect media, advertising and the ever-changing world of technology.
